Our Story

Homeschooling wasn’t something I always imagined for our family. When God first placed it on my heart, I immediately felt unqualified. I wondered how I could teach my children when I had struggled academically myself and was diagnosed with dyslexia in third grade.

But as I prayed about it, I began to see that homeschooling wasn’t about me having all the answers—it was about being intentional with my children and creating an environment where they could thrive.

My oldest was struggling with focus and staying engaged in traditional learning because of ADHD, and I started asking myself if there was another way to support him. I wanted to understand how my children learned best and give them the freedom to grow at their own pace.

Through this journey, I’ve learned that homeschooling doesn’t have to look perfect. It doesn’t require you to do everything alone or have every subject mastered. It can look like finding support, using resources, joining co-ops, working with tutors, and creating a rhythm that works for your family.

This guide was created for the mom who feels called to homeschool but is held back by fear, doubt, or the question, “Am I really capable?” I want to remind you that you don’t have to be a perfect teacher—you just have to be willing to learn alongside your children.
